You are using a similar grade of steel with high carbon content for the old Schrade knives used. If you ever discover Opinel, you notice that the blade has an edge well and is easy to sharpen. The wooden handle and metal lock circle are unreliable, however.

Interesting design, but do not know how they will be maintained. I have heard bad things about the catch.
