The carpool lanes are designed to promote the reduction of fuel consumption and resulting pollution from cars. Two hybrid cars could mean less fuel in a truck with two people when it serves the same purpose.
It has nothing to do with class or income equality, and should not.
Liberal policy has nothing to do with helping the poor, has a meeting with the rich and powerful do all warm and fuzzy feeling about themselves.
